Pullman Market
The Southwest's largest culinary market, set inside the patinated shell of the historic Samuels Glass building.
About this project
Within the Samuels Glass building at the Pearl, Pullman Market invites visitors into the foodways and bounty of Texas. The original materials carry their history and patina forward as a stunning contrast to everything new.
Light-filled patios, created by infilling between structural elements, draw people in from the Pearl's pedestrian network. Inside, a tapestry of Texan textures, flavours and aromas puts bakers, butchers, baristas, chefs and fishmongers on display.
Materials, graphics, lighting, architecture and branding converge to make distinct moments throughout. By preserving the existing structure and shell, the project kept tons of waste out of local landfills and added to the historic and cultural fabric of its context.
